“Betwixt”

Just one day,
Nobody but us.

Something like fate;
Elsewhere, the great unexpected.

Ruins
And all the stars
Under the never sky.

The sweetest dark,
like moonlight on low tide, between shades of gray.

You, brightly woven, in the night garden.
What happens next, unspoken, if I stay.
