Cousins Zoe and Jess are in for the summer of a lifetime: they’ve both landed coveted internships at the Fairyland Kingdom theme park. The internships come with a lot of perks: handsome Prince Charmings, fairytale costumes, and best of all, the chance to win the Dream & Do grant of $25,000. At least, that’s the summer they thought they would have. When Zoe gets there, she’s assigned the role of lady-in-waiting to their crazy boss, The Queen. Zoe’s internship is turning into a nightmare. When a mysterious guy starts making trouble, Zoe worries her job might be on the line.

You know how when you were little and went to Disney World, you just wanted to live in the theme parks forever? Wait, who am I kidding, I still want to live in Disney World. Reading this book is like that, except instead of Disney World, it’s Fairyland Kingdom. All of the interns live in the park; the princes and princesses even get rooms fit for royals! They swim in the park’s artificial ponds and walk around/have parties after hours. It’s basically everything I wish I could do in life.

Zoe is a fun protagonist; she’s spunky and selfless and determined. The side characters are all fun, too. There are two hot guys who are potential love interests for Zoe: Dash and Ian. I won’t reveal what goes down with these two, but it’s good and totally satisfying.

I don’t really have much to say about this book. It’s just a fun, light romp and I really enjoyed reading it. There are funny parts and shenanigans, cheesiness and bad puns. There isn’t really much depth, but sometimes that’s ok in a book! I loved how this was adorable and silly.

Overall impression:
How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True is a cute book. This would be a perfect beach read.
